In this pastel, the Valaisian vineyard presents itself in the light of a fading autumn. The terraces, bathed in gold and copper, are adorned with the last gleams of November. The vines, stripped of their grapes, offer one last flash of light before settling into rest to face the winter.
I drew familiar vines, those I come across throughout the year on my wanderings. They embody a terroir whose every season feeds my gaze and my inspiration.
